Mastergraphics offers two categories of prepress proofs. These are analog and direct digital proofs. Each proof serves specific customer needs.

The reason for making a proof, monochrome or process color separation, is to show the customer how the job will reproduce on press. It is an important control tool and communication device.

Process color proofs (contract proofs) do not need to be a dot for dot reproduction, but they must be an overall visual simulation of the expected print result. Therefore, it must simulate the dot gain, hues, detail and contrast of the printed image. The most important aspect of a prepress proof for process color is consistency or repeatability. Our proofs are not altered to look better than what the customer's press can achieve.
